The fan on my Xtreme was being fixed recently. It's set up to draw air away rather than draw it in. I can see how each might be useful, but which way is best, please?
Depends which side of the radiator it is, and that choice will usually be dictated by other isses such as space and convenience. Most kit cars in front of the radiator, and therefore blows.
Fans blow or suck. If its on the front of the rad it should blow through into the engine bay, if it sucks it should be on the back, sucking air into the engine bay.
