Lying around from your build, you may find you have one of these (used on gear linkage on Ultima GT40 etc) - its a hex bar 19mm or 11/16 AF with a 1/2 UNF thread in each end. One thread is left handed.
Its just the hex bit in the middle I need. Does not have to look pretty!
Can you post here if you have one lying in your garage you'd be happy to part with as its not easy to find an engineer with a LH 1/2UNF tap locally.
