You will need to tell us what it is you want to know before anybody here can help. There could well be plenty of advice available but it would be rather unfocused at the moment. Where have you got to with it, and what do you plan to do next?

Thanks singlecoil, I have'nt even picked it up yet although I have paid my deposit and will honour my word when I do pick up the car whatever may be said .During a search on the rv python a name comes up about Peter Filby and a few of the subsiquent threads which are not very flattering e.g the ride suspension is hard the chassis is not the best the seats are to high so your head might rise above the screen, my thought's where that someone may have some experience of RV Dynamics and the Python , when i start on it i'm sure i will be after everyone's help. Thanks, Ray

I butted heads with some people a huge amount about this car... and then was supplied absolute rubbish (read scrap) by RV dynamics when I bought a Nemesis from them.

check the car over carefully before you pay for it, make sure the uprights and wishbones are good (my uprights were dangerously cast and wishbone different shape each side of car)...

On a possitive note, Im pretty sure the quality of the Python was much much better than my Nemesis as they were really concentrating on the cobra back then so I actually think you might be buying a decent car... just dont expect any support from RV, and if you do be bloody careful.

Do a search on www.cobraclub.com.

Then run away. Fast.

Cheers,

The car has been taken on by Parallel Design now, owned by Naz, a few mods have been done but cars is same as then really , still 5 series bmw donor.

They have recently closed there industrial unit but are still going and can still be got hold of so I believe

Hi Ray
I am building a python at the moment, and am happy to help. I would advise not getting drawn into the histirical personal battle betwen Den tanner and Peter filby its of no value to your project. I'm just fitting the dashboard and hopefully be finished early next year. Its running and drivable (only on my drive at the moment)I'm using a 530 V8 as donor, i'm no Cobra build expert but it fits together well.Vince Wright the desiger is a good engineer for technical advice , also Parallel designs are selling and building the same kit , with no major moifications and can be an alternative source of parts. If you want send me your e-mail and i can send some pictures.
