Just browsing t'internet and came across this.

Quote "DUTTON 4wd Predator. No Beach Out Off Reach. Coming Soon.... watch this space."
http://www.amphijeep.biz/timdutton/4wd-pred.html

I'm guessing it's another amphicar.
Is it old news?

Yes it's old news http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7575208.stm

...I don't think that page is ever likely to be populated.

I was there at Stoneleigh, and saw the Dutton stand with (what I thought was) the original Amphi-jeep. I was expecting the 'Predator' mentioned on the web-site was a new, improved version of the former. From the description, had a mental image of an 'Amphi-beach buggy' type thing. smile

Tim Dutton has his own version of the events that led to his fine.
Bearing in mind that it would surely be foolish to print anything on his website that isn't true, it makes interesting reading.....

Interesting stuff indeed.

I have considerable respect for Tim Dutton. I know nothing of his amphibious cars, but I purchased a Phaeton kit nearly 30 years ago and was pleased to be able to do so, offerinsg from such other companies as were operating at the time being 2 or 3 times more expensive. He made kit ownership much more affordable. There's nothing clever about producing good stuff if it's also very expensive. The trick is to produce satisfactory stuff at a price that people can actually afford, and he certainly did that.
