Following on from my thread about it being time for a Cobra I see that there's a Dutch dealer advertising about half a dozen of them along with about 150 other quite exotic cars too. Everything from stretched Lincoln's and Hummers to a few Ferarris and a rather nice looking McLaren.

I'm tempted by a Pilgrim Sumo with an incomplete RV8 engine for £8.75K and a buddy says he'll put a Chevy small block in it for me for £2K, hence the interest

Anyway the point of the post is that I spoke to a chappie there who was very vague about the car and really knew nothing about it. He said if I want to have a look to ring a day or so before so he can find out where it is. Odd or what? I'll probably go and have a look later this week, but he's quite insistent that the price is the price and there's NO negotiation. So has anyone done business with them? Are they genuine? I find it hard to believe that they really do have 150 exotic cars in stock. Anyone know for sure?

Seen various cars advertised by them but never followed them up - TVRs, Lotus, VX220's. All seem reasonable money and RHD (well mostly). They seem to sell quick to - well according to the duration of the advert.

Seems steep to me, for the car that is. Bargain on the engine though, is that for real? What about the gearbox? And the exhaust system?

Target is selling mostly UK cars overhere in the Netherlands. The Cobra's he is selling you can not get on a Dutch licence plates but as they have all a UK registration it would no problem for you. The Lotus cars are very well priced but don't expect top quality cars what you see is what you get. I know from the Belgium Lotus forum that someone bought a Lotus there but got lots of trouble with it because of chassis damage which could not be seen from the outside.

If I read all reviews about Target on Dutch forums I would be very carefull indeed cheap is not always the best choice....

Also remember the luxury goods tax that applies to imported cars into the Nederlands, it's not even remotely funny...
