Similar performance to KTM X-Bow

the power of it (sharp acceleration) and very very good grip!
A BEC seven will give you very similar performance on paper, but will feel quite different when it comes to the way it accelerates: the x-bow is a (relatively) large capacity turbo engine, which means it has very good low-down torque compared to a bike. Hence if you floor the throttle it has a lot of immediate punch - a BEC needs working hard, with lots of revs, to deliver the goods. On the other hand, the x-box is a very heavy car, compared to a BEC... the BEC will feel much more nimble.
As Surrey7er says, it depends on what you liked about the x-bow, but a Westfield XTR2 shares the KTM's turbo Audi engine in a mid-mounted installation, so will offer quite similar thrills, or possibly even a Westfield SEight would be a closer match to the KTM's feel in terms of power delivery.
KTM X-Bow, according to wrongipedia, weights 790kg with a 237bhp VW 2.0 turbo engine - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KTM_X-Bow
I'd think that a lot of the sensation of speed from an X-Bow would be because its so open, would something like a VTEC engine GTM Libra coupe give the same effect or are you after a very open car like Caterfield or an MEV Sonic7/Rocket/Exocet?

So you are saying that modern car engine in seven will be much better than bike version because of torque ? I certainly felt the punch which I think the reason I liked X-Bow's.
Hell, no! I wouldn't dare - Jon Ison would probably take out a contract on me if I said something like that again! Not necessarily better, just very different.
I personally don't 'get' BEC's for road use (though they can be bloody good fun on track), but then I don't really get large-capacity or turbo 'Sevens' either... for me, too much torque overwhelms the purity of the chassis responses on such cars.
I'm a bit middle-of-the-road; I prefer moderate capacity (1.6 - 2 litre) nat. asp. car engines, but you need to experience the different cars to decide which you like best... drive a Westfield SEight back-to-back with a Westfield Megablade and you'll discover how astonishingly different in feel the two extremes can be, even in cars that are visually identical.
