Going for a boot cover/tonneau tomorrow... what material?
Discussion
Hi Jason.
In the absence of anyone else more qualified than me, I can only say that I recently went through the same dilemma and had a tonneau made for my Cobra. I went with Mohair in the end and haven't regretted it.
A little bit of research has thrown up these links (a few of many similar ones) - probably not the same cars as yours, but gives you the same idea.

Also, insist that the tonneau is fitted with these Tenax fastners, not the 'lift the dot' type as the tenax ones are more durable, fit better and are much less likely to fail.

I'm sure others on here are far more technical and knowledgable than me!
Maybe ask on your kit car's own user forums.
Where are you based, btw as you could do a kit car search for trimmers based in your area for recommended companies. eg try searching for 'Westfield forum or Cobra forum and 'trimmers' in your area. It may throw up some more options for you. I know of a good company in the Heathrow area and one in the West Midlands.
HTH and good luck with the quote.
Cheers, Jon
