Hello, does anyone know of a good source for UNC and UNF titanium bolts?
I can get Metric no problem, but I can't find a supplier for imperial stuff.
Any pointers greatly appreciated. smile

TIA,
Mick.

Thanks for that. I'd already been looking at their website, but it gave me the impression they where suppliers raw material, bar stock etc.

I'll drop the above an e-mail.
Cheers,
Mick.

Are you sure you want Titanium?

The late Tony Rudd said this:
"Although titanium is 70% the weight and 1000% the cost of high-grade steel, it is 50% more resilient and 1000% more gall sensitive. Use it with care, after you have assessed maraging steel, which strength for strength is also 70% the weight of high-grade steel, 200% the price and just as rigid."

I think so confused I was under the impression it's very strong, and very light.
Do you have a comparison with grade 8 high tensile steel?
I'm working on brakes and steering, so want to be sure I'm doing the right thing!

O.K. after a couple of days research, I now realise this is a bad idea!
Thanks for putting the doubt in my mind Paul!
What I need to be sourcing is NAS high tensile steel, and socket head bolts.
Thanks for the replies. smile
