Measuring chassis stiffness

What's with all the chassis tests being done with the engines installed?

Are they being used as structural components???

lots to think about-i thought atom would have had a very stiff chassis!!

of course in certain cases over stiff is considered inappropriate as it may lead to fracture and possibly premature signs of fatigue
