Hi all,

my name is Christian and i'm new to this forum (been reading on here for a while now and finding it very helpful),
i own an early Vixen S2 which i'm restoring at the moment with about 60% of the work done.

As the wiring loom will have to be rebuilt(existing one is completely shot)i need the correct position of the toggle switches
on the dashboard.
Car has S1 wooden dash fitted.

Many thanks in advance, Christian

Hello Christian

I have an early S" with a wooden dash. The bank of four switches in a line in the central section of the dash are as follows:
Heater blower,reversing light,panel light,windscreen washer.

The two swithes on the righthand side of the dash are:
lights (top) and wipers (bottom).

Hello Christian,

Welcome to the forum.

There are quite a few of us on here doing rebuilds. I'd be interested to see any photos you have

when you reply to the topic, at the top of the box, there are 4 underlined options in blue. far right one is "Upload Image". Click this.

Click "browse" and browse to the image you want. select the image and the box is automatically filled, then just click upload.

2 points

1. Must be less than 2meg (save any large images as compressed files eg using Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
2. When the picture uploads you will see a line like this

(url][img]http://thumbsnap.com ... BLAH BLAH...[/url)

Except all the brackets are square

It appears in the text where the picture will go. You can move this line around if you need to, but make sure it stays on one line and don't loose the square brackets.

Thats it really

Great colour choice. It looks as though we are at similar stages in our rebuilds. I note the black sills. Did you opt for these to match the original Vixen spec, or do you think the black sill just looks better with the black wheels?

Hi,

chose to paint the sills black because in my opinion it looks better than painted in vehicle colour.
Funny thing is i'm pretty sure your car was the one i was about to buy 4 years ago (advertised on PH at that time),
but then found mine, which was the better option for me.
Mine is LVX1252 by the way

I've only had the car since September 2010 but it was advertised on PH so it could well be the same car you were looking at. I believe it has had a few owners who have all intended to restore the car but for one reason or another it never happened. It was last on the road 24 years ago. It seems our cars are very closely related, mine is LVX 1250F (January 69).
