Hmmm,
This one has been for sale at £80k for ages now, so I guess its just too pricey

Plus there are a few projects advertised, 1 at £6.5k
Tough call £6.5k or £250k, how much for some history & the ends of a couple of stripes?

If you scroll to the bottom of the ad, it gives payment instructions of £25,000. A tad more reasonable!
However, the invoice, delivered as provenance, is flawed! Check out the date, the Americans reversed the month/day after 911, unless there was 15 months in 1963 I would say this is untrue!
Ho Hum.....

It is (and has been for a very long time) the norm, in the USA, to write the date as MO/DY/YR. To Americans, there is no reversal on that document, no flaw. I don't understand your reference to 911. Best,

Nice try John but just £168,000 shy of the (unsuccessful) high offer. Anyone want to buy 3 pre 65 FIA elligible TVR,s, all with period race history? Where should we start? £400,000 and I,ll throw in free roundels, a 1965 289 Hi Po engine and a 1622 MGA engine (both fully rebuilt)? May consider club racing "M" Series car in px.

Do you think I could pay Schumacher, Moss & Mansell to drive my Vixen around a track few times, then sell the Vixen with a history and clear a healthy profit?
This used to keep retired drivers in beer money and probably still does.
We had a few cars over the years which we had Lanfranchi or Marshall take class wins in before sending to auction.
