Can anybody help??

Off the starter there's 3 cables. thick black (bat positive) thin red and thin black.

Plugged red to red as per pic.. but where do the next wire connect too??? And also the black wire from the starter??

Many thanks

The starter has 12V main feed from battery, THEN 12v cold start out to the ballast resistor (which joins there to the jump wire to the coil) AND a 12v feed in from the ignition relay. (12v ignition switched supply is fed as a single wire to the other side of the ballast)

PS ...in your picture...that is not a copper fuel feed or return on the chassis next to the exhaust!!

Yes it is. but isn't staying there!!

I understand about the ballast but am a little unsure of things...

I'll take more photos later but seem to feel I've got a bad hand dealt here...

Also i have pics of inside the car - wires to the radio... wires unconnected and also the heater blower switch actually turned on the rad fan....

and the lights switch shows a fan symbol... :/

here you can see two black connectors not connected... Any suggestions???

And the heater blower switch has 3 positions. Down - low. middle - off and up - high... however all it ever did was the rad fan on full power... (up only worked...down did nothing) :/

You MIGHT be able to trace those loose wires to the rear of the car (yellow/yellow/grey ..and white/black IF the tags are still in place,my thoughts are they are the in loom speaker system wires which hardly ever gets used).
The heater fan is 12v+ centre pin and 1 speed up and 2 speed down (or which ever way it is) and the 12v switched plus then feeds to the heater fan (in the bonnet which has an integral resistor to run as 1 speed (in the fan unit AND in flow to keep it cool) and earth is the bonnet stay cable, OR an additoanl set of earths for good house-keeping.
IMHO you need to fit a tube heater fan hidden into the inner wing so that the system can be connected to the air box and 'pump' air correctly.

when i first watched the other thread showing the body-off resto i thought...not too bad..well done..now watching the high resolution pictures of the engine and partially visible front suspension i´m shocked: the suspension was overpainted as it was with the black chassis paint...no new bushes, bolts, nuts (even certain old bolts are overpainted with black)...as it looks even the coils have been painted without removing from the shock, the engine was painted completely assembled too...rocker-cover very rough, surface not smoothend nor cleaned b4 painting...

i know, my statement does not help you with your wiring, but i couldnt keep quiet watching those pics.

No new bushes???

Its completely new bushes. Completely new bolts through out the chassis. new washers. new nyloc's.

Yes the shockers have been painted over as they will be gettin replaced next. Still easily do-able with body on.

as for the rockers they're gettin changed for chrome when I get around to it. Also changing the rocker nuts for stainless alley key types when the new rockers are fitted.

i did degrease the engine and box but decided to zinc prime and enamel as everything else was gettin painted.

Unfortunatly I can't afford everything at once and in the middle of the strip and rebuild I got married which took alot of funds away.

I see your opinion and respect it but maybe you should look closer??!!

Good to see another back to life, Rome wasn't built in a day and all that, you'll be still finding jobs to do for years, looking forward to seeing more pics,
