clutch / starter problem

And now my second problem for today...


After bleeding up brakes and clutch I now have a problem that at times randomly the starter starts catching and loud!!! Grating/grinding noise when moving in gear.

I can 'feel' the noise through the clutch pedal.

Loosened the starter bolts and wiggled and re nipped up... still randomly grating..

Before I did the brake and clutch I've had the engine running and not had this problem... only when in a gear and moving...

only moved the car in garden so first and reverse...

Help!!

turns out there was a loose wire dangling near the key barrel and it was arcing when swinging.

traced and sorted
