Know what you mean! As to your last post regarding your carb, I have a 32/36 DGV carb and inlet manifold sitting in my garage doing nothing that you can have for free if you pay postage. (warn you its bl**dy heavy)

Cheers drifting

I'll liven things up soon....
Collecting my 1977 3000M over the weekend (will change the photo on my profile with my latest purchase this morning)
Will be needing lots & lots of advice probably ...
For a start - can anyone tell me where to source a pair of sun visors for a 1977 3000M ? ( did they come from a Capri/Granada ? )
Also would like to purchase a nice fresh wooden steering wheel and gear knob ( the rest of the interior is nice & decent ) Any ideas ?

Aye yours
Dram..

Dram,
Looking forward to your pics - have you bought a usable 3000M or is it intended for restoration - shame about the Grantura but I think you have made a wise choice considering parts availability and the abundence of helpful advice on PH etc etc.

I belive that the sunvisors are TVR's own using Triumph 2000/2500 fixings

If you need replacements, I suggest that you go to a scrappies and select a pair off something that will fit and look ok.

Steve / Graham / David ..
Thanks .
Impressed , very quick advice !
The visors will be my first 'wee' job with the car .
Have just changed my profile , and you can see a pic of the car there.( all the way from the Midlands to the North of Scotland ) Its clean , runs well , been looked after and most important for me has the potential to be improved in terms of performance and cosmetics.
I'm not mechanically minded ( yet ) but I want to be hands on , as well as enjoying the driving experience .
I'll keep you all in touch with my first few days of TVR ownership ( taking holidays next week to go out to play !!! )
Aye yours Dram..

Looks good, have fun next week just watch the fuel gauge, it goes down very fast when you are playing.

Nice car..sits well..
Enjoyed your recent article on the local youths preference for your TVR compared to the BMW down the road ..
Even the youth of today appreciate something different ....good for them..
