Can't wait to see the step by step build
A brief summary,Take one of these.

Unintentionally do this.

Cry and then take it bits.

Get to wear a welding hat you found

Paint it up

Get ready to put it back together

And end up with the picture in the OP.
Mind you thats taken 6 years so far.

the rebuild looks impressive. is that radiator standard and sit there?
Loving the dish chrome wheels :-)
No the radiators not standard, very little is on this car.Loving the dish chrome wheels :-)
The wheels are polished Mag alloy Compomotive split rims on the rear, the front ones I had to have replicas made by Image wheels because the origonals were smashed in the RTA.
I didn't paint it but I have done just every thing else. Grinding out and repairing all the gel coat cracks was definitely the low point!
Veneering the dash and covering the dash top crash pad proved to be a bit of a challenge! My first stab at gluing on the veneer was a complete disaster. I haven't got any machine tools so I have had to get some bits made. Just in the process of building up the pedal box - keeps me out of mischief I guess! I get the sneaky feeling that once finished your's might be a tad quicker than my old girl!
