The lower steering rod on my '79 3000S goes through a bush welded to the chassis. When I came to reassemble the steering rod I pushed out a nylon bush which I didn't know existed. This means it's gone through the powder coat oven at around 200C but, considering that, it looks in remarkably good condition!

However, it is a bit tight on the rod and the rod itself looks a bit worse for wear (in the bush area!) so it might be as well to replace both.
So, does anyone know which car they came from or were they a TVR special?
Grateful for any advice,
GB

Both Special. The bush I have in a longer version (to allow support on new metal using the old shaft) and the shafts are on the shelf IF you need to replace it.
