MK1 Turbo, (one of the 1st 6 cars built by Broadspeed at Southam) on a standard chassis with Mk1 exhaust and Mk2 airbox (Mk1's were 4 piece boxes) with the SU pressure release valve, odd fuel pump for a turbo (IMHO, lots to do to sort it, BUT then you have to own one first). It might help to put the shocks on the right way round (front to back). The correct 170 MPH speedo is going to cost a little bit more, me thinks.

Take a closer look.

It looks like it's had a significant amount of work including a body off chassis restoration, paint looks very good as does the trim?

No rust on the chassis..But. It looks to have been hidden away! for many years and as such would need a full strip down, body off and most probably every bit of rubber replacing.. Good project but still a lot of work to bring back to how it should be. Interesting to know what the srory may be with this car!!

Gents,

Where would you have the restoration done and the big question would be how much. I'm very interested. Any comments would be gratefully accepted.

I would first want to understand that I was the legal owner of the car post purchase. Restoration? Probably 2 or 3 options to do it properly, Adrian, Ian Bannister and maybe a group of specialists that you would project manage. Cost, down to what you want at end of the day, 20- 25k? And what ever the car costs.

Hi there
Yes there is some history best ask around as all i know is second hand gossip and you would need the full facts before purchase i am sure the sellar will be able to help as well.

confused I had always presumed (naive I know) that buying from a trader would give the purchaser protection.

Depends on whether the trader is an astute person and hasn't bought something that is dodgy in the first instant!!

Nope.
It is somewhere else and I am a little stretched at the mo.
Griffy is having brake work done, I am tidying garages out ready to start building up this dusty chassis I had lying about wink
