Cam swap

Is it possible to swap a X-flow cam with the engine still in the car.

It's about 15 years since I replaced mine but I seem to remember that you cannot take the camshaft out without taking the engine out. From what I remember you have to turn it up side down or the cam followers drop down when you pull out the camshaft and prevent the shaft from moving.

Yep, followers will drop and wedge unless you can improvise something with eight magnets
