I have taken my leaky heater matrix to local radiator man - it needs recoring £108+vat.
He commented at its small size, does anybody have any cunning recommendations for improved-larger-cheaper unit?
I am also planning to do Adrian's duct fan improvement at the same time.
Thanks

120 odd quid for a recore ? Blimey, had mine done here in Belgium for 40 !

Don't know any other solution, perhaps AV might ? (on holiday till 27th)

just had an escort mk1 rad done by west mercia radiators in wednesbury near birmingham for less than a hundred quid. sounds a bit steep for a small heater matrix!

Its only got a little car to heat!

Last winter always had plenty of heat but not always in the right places (cold feet) wink

Just a thought but If you had your location on your profile maybe somewhere reasonably local could be recommended, Adrian put me in touch with a good little place in Coventry but not a lot of help if you're in Cornwall or Northumberland.

Thanks for all your help, & I have updated my profile.
The 2 most local rad specialists have closed in recent years, together with never ending price rises for copper wont help the price.
Have bitten the bullet, at least I know the quality of their work - they re-cored my rad 2 years ago.
