occasionally i stray from the tvr road and delve into other projects. just for fun, can anyone of you learned people hazard a guess of what it may be. the cockpit area is a fairly good representation of the original, but i had to base it on off the shelf jag suspension, not correct. neil and richard, as you know, don't reply with the answer. best regards keith

Marcos? No you have a high side chassis rail so either no doors or drop down doors like the Jomar however if its a Jomar Repllica that's Cheating as that is a TVR?
Any Clues please

DB3S, judging by the peak on the scuttle and the way the chassis tapers to allow the cutaway of the front wings behind the wheels - that's my best offer.

well done slow M, thats quite correct. philpot was nearly right, but nearly doesn't win the coconut. it won le mans in 56 i think. it's a lovelly looking car with allround torsion bar suspension, the rear being rather like a morris minor taking care of the bumps from a de-dion 4 link axle with watts linkage and telescopic shop absorbers.there was effectively no tunnel in these cars only a prop cover and it took me quite a while to realize that the engine backplate and the bulkhead were effectivly the same, it spanning from one side of the chassis to the other thereby transmitting the torque reaction down the outer rails, hence their depth. i used a similar drawing to slow M's and had it blown up to AO size and went from there. a big thank you to those who had a go and i give you my best regards. keith. p.s. i have another one to exact drawing you might want to guess at, not so hard!!!

I'll only take credit for the "R."

By the way, the rear upper suspension mounts look as though you used TVR M series lugs at the far back.

Let's play again. Post your other picture.

you are quite right slow M, they are virtually the same except that the upper rail in the photo is 1 1/4" dia against 1 1/2" on the 'M'. no point in reinventing the wheel!! those brackets are the top coil over mountings because as i expect you know, the jag rear end utilizes the drive shaft as the upper wishbone. i fabricated some wider spaced lower wishbones to replace the standard jag ones and the turned out allright. i will post a picture of the rolling chassis when it's done allthough i know it's out of place. best regards keith

I look forward to it. If anybody complains, we'll mock them for being too uptight.

Till my suprice nobody did mention the fact that you can have problems fitting the switches in a wooden custom made dash this for the simple reason that most people make the dash to thick.

Since you life in Canda there is a very good British Car Specialist in Edmonton they oparate under the name Sports Car Centre and have a very good assortment of parts in stock, try them.
