Essex rockers individualy numbered?

Hi All

Ive started the engine strip and have noticed that the rockers are number stamped, not numerically but completely randomly!

1, 3 46, 34 etc?

Any ideas or conspiracy theories?

Probably just casting/manufacturing marks or something.


Engine stuff is covered with numbers which most of the time mean nothing whatsoever now that it's not in the factory being made,

Stamped, or cast? Are they offset, at all? Are they stamped steel, or cast, or forged? Are they individual, or rail, ...
