Hi,
I am restoring a Grantura Mk2A keeping mind to orginality but performance as well.
I would like to ask you if anybody knows where come from the half shafts (Tr4A items???) and where to source out heavy duty ones.
I do want to keep U joints and standard flage patterns.
My car will be a racing - hill climb car that could be tractble on the open roads.
Regards,

Francesco

Welcome to the forum! An excellent job of lurking I might ad!
Stock half shafts will do the job...less rotating mass the better.

Hi,
Thanks for your advice.
Any info on the donor vehicle for them?
I have a new stock half shaft as spare but the ones off the car have a lot of play on spines..
I bought the car as a box of bits and I do not know where I can sort out them.
Regards,
F

Francesco,

years ago someone told me these were from a cement mixer... but I´m not sure if it is true.

Why don´t you fit new cardan joints and use the originale half shafts? Thats the way I will do it. We have a company in cologne that is specialised on rebuilding these.

Cheers
Chris
