Resurrection of the Grantura MK2a
Discussion
Hi pistonheads,
My name is Victor. Im a 24 year old product design student and i have a passion for classic cars and motorcycles, just like my father.
TVR is one of our biggest intrests. trough the years we have managed to get hold on some of these fine sports cars wich we currently still cherrish
3000M (The flint car) , 2800S-series, 2900S-series, Grantura MK2 and a Grantura MK2a.
The last 2 need some attention, or rather allot of attention as they where completely in bits.
The MK2a is the project im currently working on. the boddy and chassis are rebiuld and joined together. At the moment im sorting out the front suspention and working on the engine.
The deadline is the continental meeting in zolder 2013 wich is about 30 minutes from my house (yes i am a belgian, hence the doddgy English
I started this discussion because i have been told there are some experts here on this forum who hopefully are willing to give me tips and advice so i can get this baby back on the road.
Cheers,
Vic

Great!
well i need:
- the seals from the windshield, rearwindow and doors.
-New (polly?) bushes for the front suspention
-the electric fan ( i beleve thats original? )
not sure how the front hubs are assembled, location of shims, wich side is up
and im not sure how the 'alluminium strut bar' that holds the hub together is mounted because its not symetrical.
And the final question for today is where can i find the location were the bonnet hinges to the chassis ( i think it has been cut off?)
I'll upload some pics of the project soon!
Thanks in advance.

You can find a lot on Piston Heads "search" . Type in "Grantura window seal".....or use Google search . Both will lead you direct to David Gerald. Many of the items or problems you are looking for are already discussed on PH. So use the "search" and you will find 90% of your answers.
Just in case you don't already know this, you can do a google search of the pistonheads site by typing
What you want to find site
istonheads.com
into google. I find this pretty much always works.
hmm, bizarre
should read sitecolonpistonheadsdotcom
