If I had £95k to spend on a sports car & if it had been RHD, then I'd have bought it. I think it's a stunningly beautiful example of a road car and makes a refreshing change from the stripped out, mod'ed, totally un-original track cars. wink

Makes mine look cheap. Most people thought I'd done well when it went to Italy for £52,000 in 2010

Lovely car to look at. Unfortunately for those who've never owned a real Griffith the reality as a road xar is not quite great.

Coming from someone who's into ponds...

Thinking of V8s, how's your engine coming?

Best,

Just about. Planning to be testing at Spa in 10 days time. New bespoke shock absorbers. Engine rebuilt with new cylinder head, revised cam timing. Gearbox rebuilt. New set up gives 164bhp at the wheels from a true 1800cc with very flat torque curve. Should go OK with 630kgs......we hope. But as Neil says it's a boat.

BTW Neil if I couldn't handle the Griff how am I gonna get on with this animal? Approx 150bhp more than the Griff and 250kgs lighter..

Going back together, got away with shells. Crank is 30 thou though so I wouldn't risk another grind even though you can go to 40. Bottom end is all back together. I have also modified the sump to place a magnetic sump plug directly adjacent to the oil pick up. On the Canton sump there are 4 trap doors and these are about 6 mm above the sump base so if anything gets in the trap doors it cannot really find its way out.

Even my pond is coming along hehe
