M Turbo for sale

I am sure that somewhere on youtube there is a clip of Timmyart hillclimbing it, it goes and sounds well.
Looking at the photos I thought there was something wrong with the side vents, looked back at an old photo I took of it when Adrian owned it and realised it didn't have side vents at all then, so they have been added later. In fact, no turbo ever had side vents originally.
Oliver.

This were all improvements with original TVR-Parts ...
Heating is always a Turbo-Problem and I like this side-vents .
In fact these are brutal maschines in every aspect so any racecar has Airvents ...

It doesnt need to be Axel. Turbos correctly built with a good rad will run at 75 Deg C all day long. Good fans will keep the temps below 90 in traffic.

Iirc Tim swapped the wheels because we were struggling to find decent 14" rubber with hill climbing in mind. Wheels were Compomotive MLs factory ordered in that colour - the same as fitted to my Dad's Taimar SE in my profile pic
It is/ was a lovely car. Performance was incredible. The only time I remember being truly terrified in any car was accelerating hard in the rain in a straight line and the massive kick from the turbo as I changed from 3rd to 4th. Magnificent. I hope it finds another good home. If I had the space/ resources.....

I wasn't criticising the wing vents, I just hadn't spotted before that it had gained them since I last saw the car. It then had me going back through my turbo photos to see if any of the turbos originally came with them, but they were all built after the vents were deleted. They look fine to me, I also like the centre stripe and the NACA duct.
As John says, cooling isn't necessarily a problem on turbos if the system is all running right. Mind you, we do both live in Yorkshire which is not known for it's tropical climate...
