New to pistonheads and finding searching for information a pain.
Sorry if this is an oft repeated topic, I have read about seats in the S series but couldnt find anything on the M series.

My vinyl seats are shot, while I am considering having them professionally rebuilt in leather I have been tempted by XJS seats, they are comfy and cheap. But realistically some early leather mx5 seats with separate headrest may be my only option, but I have not attempted a seat swap before, has anyone changed over their M seats to offer me some advice?

I know space is a premium, so mx5, Suzuki cappuccino, other kei car interiors may be my only option, but the xjs seat does fit an S series, so will it fit the M ?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Best way to search PISTONHEADS is to use Google with its site specific search.

Use this format

searchterm sitetongue outistonheads.com

e.g. M series seats sitetongue outistonheads.com

Please have the Seats re covered it will save a future custodian of the car having to try and find some to get her back to OE or at least. Store old ones so they stay with the car

These folks have a very nice selection. I have been tempted to buy a set for my Vixen 2500. Look at the Lemans, Sebring, Nurburgring or Monie Carlo (if you want a folder). These guys do a good job. I saw a set in vintage Porsche and was very impressed with the construction.

Thankyou all for your guidance, I have decided to patchup my vinyl and save for leather.... Has anyone rebuilt their own seats with the leather from lakewell ?
