The rear window of my grantura does not seem to fit. i have tried getting it in place for hours using 3 people and soap.
i placed the rubber seal around the screen but that combination doesn't fit in the car itself. If i get it tight in place at one side, it is impossible to get it in place on the other side, there is allot of tention on the plastic screen.
It is a brand new rear plastic window and seal. i don't know the manufactor or where it is bought, it came with the car.
I tried the search engine first, but i could not find an answer.
Is this a common problem, and is cutting away a bit something stupid to say?

greetings,
Victor

A tip I learnt from Adrian @,

If you have some spare screen rubber cut four short pieces and try fitting screen with a piece central along each edge. This should let you see if there is an equal gap all around or if screen is too close to bodywork in places?

Have never done one on a Grantura but with my Vixen i found the easiest way was to fit the seal to the body first. With that tightly in place, i sat the bottom edge of the screen in first then worked up both sides alternating side to side. Getting the top edge in required a bit of persuading but the roof is quite bendy which helps.
Maybe try along those lines?
