74 2500M: adding a PCV valve

Guys, I have a dual Mikuni carb conversion on my car, but simply a breather filter leading of the valve cover outlet.

It seems serviceable, but it is a bit smelly.

I'm wondering about adding a PCV valve, and routing the hose from the valve so that it outlets into the intake manifold.

Could this be harmful to the engine? (some oily blow-by into the intake)

Are there better options? Should I leave well enough alone?
