Advice needed for an air filter to fit a Weber 38 DGAS carb, Currently I have fitted a K&N

but looking for a large circular chromed model to fit, something along these lines...

any pictures or recommendations from what you have fitted would be good!

I'd do some careful measuring before you buy anything, I picked this up off Ebay (had to modify it to fit the Weber) and the centre nut was touching the bonnet, now changed for a lower profile cap head.

I've know idea if it "flows" better or worse than the K&N it replaced but it certainly silences a lot of the induction noise.

I am looking at slim profiles to fit within the clearance. The mounting hole is 5 1/8" and I was advised I may have to sacrifice the bottom plate of my current filter to adapt the new filter to fit.

Hmmmm.

It would be ideal if someone had this style that fit direct from box!

Anyone ever used one of these? Ideal for a remote filter http://www.webcon.co.uk/shop/shopexd.asp?id=8939

I have viewed this a few times but never seen it on a car. Even though it states ideal for cars with low clearance from the pictures it looks quite bulky. It also needs an external feed which I imagine would be difficult to get.
