... offering her the virgin drive today.

"... oh, you put that stupid old car back together..."

So took my 4 year old daughter instead, and she know how to get big icecreams "... daddy, shall we go drifting..."

No time for washing it today, still a bit of work with tuning the engine, but got the idle allmost right. Dash is temporary from a piece of pergo floor, but stil some ajustments there before the final alu version can be made. btw, 10mm led's with clome housings of eaby is a cheap and easy solution to the warning lights.

And did get 4 miles on the new speedo :-)

I'll post a video on youtube in a couple of days, but engine tuning is time consuming.

I have an injector problem in one of the banks. Left bank runs more lean than the right, I have interchanged lambda sensors and recalibrated them. But no difference, left bank in lambda 1.00 right bank 0.85 @1000 rpm @50 kpa. Adding some injector pulsewidth can cure it, but battery was empty on the laptop, so I didn't nail it down to widh injector is of scale. Potentially a new set of injectors is needed.... more to come

And for the engine sound... very authentic TVR growling idle, still running too rich for up-rpm power but still enough to spin both 245's just on the throttle @3000 rpm on warm tires (the two blondes didn't seem impressed, but perhaps you are :-)

Youtube video, not much just a start and a few trottle blips

And I can add the firt drive report :-) front springs are a bit too stiff, so it side step's a bit on bumpy narrow corners. But it drifes like a gocart, steering is very accurate and wit ha lovely direct feel. Rear end is close to spot on, not harch on the body, quite comflable, but still stiff and predictable. And sideways it goes :-) the LSD do it's job but it need 3'rd to avoid wheelspin on the roundabout exits.

I allso managed to get the VVT to work, that very notable, but I need to get the rmp's right and adjust the fuling around the shift point.

Thanks. I did 250 mile in it today + did some test driving on some known free-view roads, and it's brilliant. Suspension and handling is sharp and allmost spot on. I'll try with a slight lower springrate on the fronts as the only note. And acceleration is quite good to, even the ECU still needs some attention.
And long distance driving.... perhaps i need to add some EXUP / switchable exhaust baffle thing. It's okay at 3500 rpm/75mph but 3000 rpm/65mph are there a resonant tone from the pipes

And mpg.... don't ask :-)
