Just a quick question how easy is it to remove the diff on a 3000M? and is it a TR6 diff?

Just a quick answer: very and yes it could be. Then again the longer answer is no it could be a nightmare and no it might not be.

Early M series cars had TR6 diffs but later ones had the Salisbury. So, as Steve says, it depends. You needs to come back with your chassis number unless someone here happens to remember the chassis number of UHV766S (l believe this was the first to have the salisbury).

Salisbury diff from 3919 according to the parts book so yours should be TR6.

Make sure it's the correct gearing for TVR.
