On here?

I purchased the exhaust from the same guy and he told me the headers went with the engine!

If it was someone on here, do they want to sell the downpipes?

Would those fit a Taimar - I saw them but wasn't 100% they'd fit? Collector arrangement is different.

For that price I'd be heading to ACT or JP exhausts to have a pukka set. Not that much more at £445 + delivery

The JP ones don't have the bracing bars - pic below is the set I bought.

out of curiosity, just replacing the standard exhaust headers for these ones from JP........what difference would it make?

I have a pair of JP ones I got second hand but not fitted them yet

Stopped ours sounding like a tractor - one of the originals was blowing!

I doubt they make much difference to performance.

Look nice though smile

Hi Stu
Before ordering speak to Adrian as I believe the one for sale from others which they sell as Taimar need some modification.
It is tight in there just ask my knuckles wink
I have ordered a complete system through Adrian and he then does the modification so it fits well price was very much the same but when it comes to fit there should be no problems (famous last words?? LOL)
Worth a call at least

Andrew,

When I asked Adrian re: 3000M he suggested I go direct to JP Exhausts - fitted fine.

But never any harm asking the guru!

I would say that the jp ones are made to suit the packaging in the car, whereas the ones on ebay will be better for performance gains, if you are concerned about chasing bhp. not sure if they would fit though around the starter motor area.

I'll second that, the JP ones are unequal in lenght, as the 'ebay' one' are, but as said not sure about fitment.......

Who, if anyone, can supply the best exhaust manifold for the Essex V6 in the 3000m/taimar installation?
You still see the odd pair of Janspeed manifolds come up for sale occasionaly, but I guess they were mainly for Capri applications? Presumably the JP one is just a stainless version of the TVR factory Essex manifold?
