Brand new heater control valve so it now closes and stops frying the girlfriend, what's next on the to do list dear............

Is that the "before picture" with that interesting arrangement of cable ties ????

If it's the before photo then removing the cable ties would have allowed it to close maybe !

If I recall correctly, there is something special about the TVR-type valve, I think it operates the other way around to normal ones.

When I got my S3 there was no heater valve fitted. I purchased one for a MGB as it looked the same and the switch gear is from the MGB, so it seemed logical. All worked OK.

yep deffinatly no heat and mine is a TR6 valve, if she wants heat, I will cut the ties and viola mount ETNA

Shouldn't the cable be a semi-rigid cable (like piano wire) which would hold the valve in any position, even half way if mount Etna is a little too much, without the need for cable ties, gaffer tape, springs, rubber bands or any other aids?

Still works its not that hard to remember hot is cold and cold is hot as long as they work the Taimar and s dont have one they use a flap in the heater box instead however Colin fitted one on mine which is still there but its hot is cold but works
