What would the engine mounts on my 1979 Taimar from?

They are of the square variety, so the Essex V6 ones ive found cant be right as they are round!

Thanks

A fraction of the cost of proper ones too ...that's what you get for mass produced items instead of me having them made in small batches.

Just curious..... is there a problem with using the round ones or are you after the original look?

My earlier ('77 model) has round mountings but with a base plate rather than stud both sides.

I keep my money under the sofa, which is a bit dangerous, as loads of people walk past my front garden every day....

Hi Phil,
Why is it that the cross brace onto the upright is bent and why the 2 packers?

My thoughts are that even buying into a cheaper item that as is from wherever and it then needs base plate and packers to make it fit, I would rather buy it and it fits 'exactly'.

Don't know, thats how it was when I bought it !

Back home now and had another look, think the spacers are just to keep the stud away from the oil filter (cutting the stud down might be a little more professional).

Adrian, can you tell me why the one mentioned above from the land rover are not suitable?

Assuming that as also mentioned they are like rocking horse poo, and no one wants to sell them or tell me a price, do I have to get them mnufactured myself?

Im a little confused as to why everything is so secret and hard to decipher, rather than a straight answer!?

Private message me if its easier!

Visually, from what I see, I have no idea what size they are, what the shore rating is, but, a base plate needs to be made to mount them, then you need to work out the height against that of the OE item and set the correct height (I presume that this is what happened on Mikes).
I have had these made for my customers and they come R/H and L/H (so that the stud does not hit the oil filter) with the correct nuts/bolts/washers to suit, I have not had a price request for any, but they are on the shelf. (which is as much I can say on the PH forums, I have to respect both PH and other people who might or might not sell engine mountings for TVR's, no mystery, and as straight as it can be said)
