I know it is like looking for hens teeth, but are there any abandoned Vixen projects or basket cases that have turned in flower pots rather than cars.
I am looking to retire my Vixen from the TVR Speed Championship and replace her with one built from the ground up as a race car.
Any help or leads gratefully received

Do you have any interior to go with the shell?
sorry, doesnt even have a floor !! but has doors with glass, front screen and possibly an early grantura bonnet can be sourced for it to. Have the old chassis but dont consider it could be used safely and no id.We bought this as a part project and dont expect to get round to doing it.
Oh and two original bucket seats ! and a fuel tank.

Hello Phil,
most of the cars in my collection are projects like yours which I have safed from scrapping in UK. But in UK noone would realy be interested in this cars today. They are mainly VW suspension cars. I am afraid that your Grantura project will also not be brought back to former glory but will end as a butchered skeleton as is or as a Griffith fake. Don't tell me that other people do have a more noble attitude than I do, regarding TVRs.
If you are interested I can send you some informations I have put together about the "real" Granturas Trevor has built, the MKI - IIa, which you can not read about in the books.
Phil why not consider a part exchange? Your Grantura project for a Grantura of my collection in the same condition.

Sorry, I meant no offence by my remark regarding your collection. very envious in fact!! I would love to give up my day job and simply while away hours fettling and restoring and driving them, thats all i meant.
Klaus, I have been searching for over 2 years to get another car and there are lots of others out there that I speak to at TVR events who are looking for projects.
I have had my Vixen for 16 years and have all the documented history etc etc and cherish it accordingly.
But sometimes there isn't a lot left to save. I imagine it is going to be a challenge just to identify this car
I am looking for a car to use in the TVR SpeedChampionship, isn't it better to save a car like this rather than take one that is more complete and change into a race car?

can i just add, before all the usual suspects start adding their ten penneth, this project is nothing more than an old discarded rotten chassis and body, removed, so i am lead to believe when a new chassis and body was fitted to a car, i am not suggesting it is anything more than just parts. I am not pretending it is a lost, historically interesting, important barn find !
would be nice if it were though eh !!
