I was just looking around at what pre 80s cars are for sale and just realised here in the UK there are only 10 cars for sale.
I don't remember when there where that few.
And World wide not many more than another 10.
Rather nice that they are being cherished rather than moved on.
I am sure there are others that don't reach the open market.
Anyone know of others not in the usual places.

I count 40+ pre 80's cars up for sale in the local classic car auction for the end of the month. Granted probably half won't sell for one reason or another but they are there if your looking.

Maybe we could list up what is for sale worldwide(aprox)?
There are not that many for sale now, when I bought my 3000s,ther where 3 for sale and one or two coming
up in between, now there is one project car?
Some cars are in poor condition, others are overpriced?
Here in Belgium there are 3 or 4 pré 80's for sale, one allmost 1,5 year,
In the Netherlands not many more,
Germany 4or 5,

could make a saleslist?

Please do not waken up the low priced cars (if there are any).

And let the high priced cars for the lovers to be kissed by their prince.

Hans.

Hi Rudy
It would be interesting there are far more over in Europe on sale than here and of the Pre M cars even less.
There are 2 RHD cars over in Europe a 75 1600m and a M series with a 4lt V8.

I am happy you leave the LHD cars out of the list.biggrin

But snapping a "cheap" car becomes worse.

Having seen 4 cars(2 S3 Vixen's a Taimar and a 1600M) change hands in the last 2 weeks AND PH having a very good format for this type of thing, would a list not pee off the gods in PH tower...?

No Idea Adrian at Present there are only two nice Taimars on the PH site and that is it.
Yes we both know of cars selling that are not advertised.
Those selling cars in Europe would be wise to advertise there cars on here as PH is international and most people looking for a classic TVR will come on here and ask whats for sale would make a good point for them to be advertised here as well.

Sorry Hans
I had already seen the LHD Red 3000S on auto scout and represents very good value for money in comparison to some M series cars LHD for sale and a better example than many around nice tidy interior and engine bay looks well cared for and I love his garage and petrol pump smile

There is one project I have found on the US E Bay a 2500M project looks rather rough however if doing a complete restoration then may be worth doing there is a buy it now price which comes out at £2500 but a make an offer click so say you got it at 2k and shipping came out at 1500 then 3.5k gets you a good LHD project.

Or you could save yourself the bother and buy a 3000M in UK for little more. Incidentally early "M" Series cars have symetrical bulkheads so RHD to LHD is straight forward. I also know where there are another 4 or 5 pre 80,s cars for sale not too far from the above mentioned 3000M.

Correct Steve your early 3000m would make a fantastic project and being such an early one makes it a rather unique prospect.
