Another view in the other recent dashboard thread
Hi Neil,
Yes you've about got it. There should be a basic 90 degree bracket in the centre of the dash top - just visible in The Gamekeeper's pic which bolts through the bulkhead with 2 bolts. Then the two ends are screwed into the body at the edges. The dash itself then attaches to the flange on the dash top. Quite how that was supposed to hold together longer than a few minutes I don't know but that's TVR hand built quality for you.

The starting point is to get the crash pad into the shell.
This is held in place at three points.
There is a stud at each end of the crash pad which bolts through a hole in each door jamb.
And there is a folded aluminium bracket which is rivetted onto the crash pad and is bolted onto the bulkhead right where the bonnet shuts.
Here's the underside of the crash pad showing the folded bracket.

Here is is from the top.

And you can see the two holes right in the shut line of the bonnet, over the heater aperture.

Here it is loosely in place from the inside.

Here's the stud in the o/s corner of the crash pad from the back.

And from the front.

This isn't very clear, but I have circled the hole in the door jamb. It is tucked under the door seal.

Here it is from further back.

The dash panel itself is attached to the top of the transmission tunnel with a couple of L shaped brackets. I think the dash just screws to the crash pad with self tappers, but I will check next time I'm sober.
