taimar boot lid
Discussion
Since fitting the boot lid two years ago without the gas struts, the lid has gone back to a better shape following the body contours.
My guess is (also I think I heard this at the pre 80's) that the struts push the sides out.
Any pics, lengths or details of a stiffening bar/threaded bar to counter the forces pushing the boot lid outwards?
Thanks in advance, mick.

I am sure I heard someone at the pre 80's talking about a "Mike Bigland mod" that sounds just like this?My guess is (also I think I heard this at the pre 80's) that the struts push the sides out.
