She's tax'd mot'd and on the road......a little video to celebrate smile

Having had a number of TVR's in the past.......one thing I notice is that the Taimar has a pretty quite exhaust note......but I guess i'm used to my old Tuscan Speed Six and 5.0 Chim

Is there an option to replace the central silencer unit with straight pipes........would still leave the 2 smaller silencers at the back......just wondered what other have done exhaust wise? (nb - she is running a SS system)

You could change the back box to 2 straight through boxes can't remember what they are called but I have them on the 3000s
Adrian gave me a link to a webb site where you can hear all the different ones when choosing the Taimar Box you can play on there for ages wink

On my taimar, I swapped my midde box (stainless) to a mild steel spare which I knocked out the middle baffle plates (long screw driver and hammer).

I did this and left the rear boxes on - no difference what so ever.
I then removed the rear boxes (with straight through middle box stil in) and hey presto!!!
Noise that sounds well.

I did put the stainless middle box back in but it becomes raspy :-/

Only difference I can see is the mild box is perforated tubes internally, the stainless box has (best I can describe) louvers down the box interal tubes.
