Essex V6 water pump, and other things

My new water pump has a top outlet that old water pump never had!

Where would it usually run on a V6, and what should I do with it?

Just cap it of. That's how mine was when I got it.

blanking cap or you can tap a thread and screw a bung in


1/4 BSP from memory......

Tap it. Mine was an exact size for I think an M10.

Bung it is, as its already fitted and ready to run and I dont want to drop any metal into it!

Ill cap for the evening to get the car running!

In case it's of any use, I remember that Scimitars had an extra outlet on the pump and Capris didn't (or other way round ?)
