2014 Happy New Year
Discussion
Well 2014 is nearly here and I thought I would use that as an opportunity to say a big thank you to all those who have helped and guided my efforts over the last year.
The last 3 years has been a massive learning curb and without the help of many on here no names needed you know who you are a big thank you.
And I know others like myself have found our hobby a great escape from some of the things life throws at us.
2013 has been an unusual year with many changes in Family life and the loss of a Family Member and having the escape of the Garage the Cars and the Forum has be a great help.
When the year started I had no idea that it would end with 3 classics in the Garage and only through strange circumstances has that happened so thanks to Mat who Rebuilt the Tuscan who decided I was the right person to develop the car more.
However my wish for 2014 is that more of the watchers that don't get involved here will join in and ignore those that just want to make fun of your efforts or answers, remember they make there mistakes as well and they had to learn from scratch it just there memory is failing and they cant remember that far back.
I know many of them have had there disasters but have kept quiet come on guys own up its confession time
So come on Guys that are watchers get involved.
2014 I am sure will bring lots of great things but also hard times as well and I am sure there are going to be sad times and losses as well but we all have the great big Family out there to carry us through.
Happy 2014
Andrew

Hear hear!!!

I have learned over the years that not many amateur mechanics / restorers dare to tell what went wrong.
And just these mistakes and their solutions are helpful for others.
So Andrew I will underline your statements.
And when someone do not like that sort of discussions than they are free to neglect them.
I hope 2014 brings a lot of information about our TVR's.
The last years I have learned a lot ( also a lot I didn't understand ).
But even the (to) high level of some restorers are interesting for me. (no milling machine and what so ever)
Cheers, Hans

Nicely said, Andrew!
You are a very lucky man to have three TVRs.
After 30 plus years of restoring autos, I can say that not every vehicle is the same and you are always learning something new. This makes it very difficult to provide exact estimates on parts and labour, as you never know what the work will ultimately entail.
Here's hoping that others will get involved, as there is a lot of information to be had on this site.
Best too all in the New Year!
