I regularly see modern kit cars in for mot etc which are clearly a vehicle masquerading as a Dutton/Ginetta/Robin Hood. The original identification plates and VIN have been lifted off a scrapper and reused to avoid IVA on a kit car that otherwise cannot be registered because invariably they would not pass IVA. Some of these are now reported and refuse MOT but it is surprising how many still get through. Presumably the original identity on the case highlighted here has been used elsewhere. Scrap IMO. The ringing illegalty is obviously flourishing.
