It may look expensive but you'd struggle to build one to that standard with an all steel engine and CR box for that money.
Just what I was going to add I have no idea what the Grantura 2a is costing but I would be amazed if there was change from 60kAt just over 30k sterling plus shipping a good option if someone wants to go racing I posted that car a couple of weeks ago on the Nice Grantura for sale thread.

Maybe it has more to do with living on a fault line. Maybe it was the earth shaking. I thought, after seeing the asking price, that my sense of reality was starting to crumble.

I love to look at pictures only.Best,

And dreaming of course.

And I left my glasses in the garage so could not read the figures.

Still, I am shocked at the asking price. It's that I'm unaccustomed to paying attention to old car values. In a way, it's wonderful, that old TVRs are respected enough to make at least a couple of you not bat an eye at this figure, but also miffed that they're no longer pennies/pound. In truth, I've always (from the first time I saw an M from below) been amazed, that they have not been valued much more highly, in the marketplace.
There goes my dream of Jomar ownership.

here's no question that it takes a good bit of effort, and more than a small bucket of money, to create a competent race car. It doesn't look as though this one was pulled together on a shoestring budget. I know and respect the effort and cost.

Racing cars are a whole different ball game to road cars…Its frightening what mine cost to build. The most frightening aspect is that after running the car you then realise just how much more you still have to spend. Thankfully I can do most myself. and quite frankly I have to. It must be lovely to have unlimited funds to not worry…My goal for the next car is to not take anywhere near as long but monthly disposable income generally dictates that Still, I am shocked at the asking price. Looks like strong money and if the 20 races completed refers to the engine it will be ready for a rebuild, the cost may again may frighten the non-racers amongst us. Very true that road car vs. race car costs are quite a shock to most people. Received wisdom is that it is cheaper to buy a ready built race car than self build but if I'm going to strap myself into a projectile I like to know how it has been put together.
