For road driving will I need some non FIA seats, with a bit of comfort, easy to get in and out of, but still a bit sporty and preferably with holes in the back for a 4/6 point harness.

Some Ideas:
Corbeau A4

Cobra RS

Cobra RSR

Other suggestions ?

Width is the issue on many aftermarket seats, not just at the bottom, but at the shoulder as well, the B pillar comes surprising close, just check and double check before you buy!!!

The Cobra RS looks good me thinks, also for the age of the car.

You need indeed narrow seats, just like in the M coupe when you want aftermarket seats.

speaking of that, I've got pictures I believe from a German M series with BMW Z3 seats in them biggrin

Maybe you could also go for the Cobra racer pro seats, those are more narrow I believe, I have those on my PC for a maybe M coupe conversion biggrin they are more narrow at the shoulders as say the Recaro PP seats and look almost alike.(I even like the Cobra Pro better by looks)

some have those also in TVR Griff or Chimaera I believe and did this>

edit, looked the Recaro Pole position up and those are
bij the schoulders = 580mm the Cobra Pro = 515mm
by the legs outside= 500mm the Cobra Pro = 450mm

so could fit very well in the more narrow space cars (with wider tunnels)

or the Cobra Pro in more classic style FIA>

mmm

or also ready to buy>

saw them also in this TVR>

normal Tuscan seats you sit ON the seat instead of in them I found out a while ago, so those Cobra's are way better me thinks, look better too and i guess also lighter with just over 7kilo

Corbeau clubman. They fit me and the car like a glove. I am about 155lb, 5'-9". 29"-30" waist.

My only complaint is the upholstery crap, uh, . . . I mean . . . material.

Best,
B.
