Taimar Steering UJ

I have an MOT advisory on the lower steering column universal joint on my 1977 Taimar.

Please can anyone tell me what's involved in changing this? How much dismantling is necessary?

More expert voices than mine may well be along soon but I'd have thought, unbolt the rack, can leave track rod ends attached, rack should then come forward enough to get Uj off the spline, once one end off other should be easy.

Ensure uj's are aligned correctly when fitting new one

My chassis number is 4077FM which would seem to indicate the early version. I will email you Adrian for instructions. The spare I have is cast not pressed.
