FIA logbook for 3000M
Discussion
Hi, as I only know the danish regulations, the following can be local rules only.
But I'm in the process of getting my car approved for historic hill climb / rally sprint, and if the car was in original state (brakes, engine power, wheels etc) can it compeate in the street legal classes with minor modifications (use a helmet, add a fire extinguisher, seat belt knifes etc.).
If it have to compeate in the real rally events do it need 2 things. As the car was not FIA approved in the 70'ties do it need a FIA homologation done, a bit like a SVA, contact you local race club to get directions for an national FIA officer to clarify the process. To get the approval do the safety of the car need to be compliant with group 4 in appendix J 1972

Further do it potentially need to be compliant with the current FIA article 253, http://www.fia.com/sites/default/files/regulation/...
But get in contact with your local rally club / historic rally club and get in contact with your national FIA officers, they are the ones that you need to make happy.
My case is a bit special as my car is modified and thereby is non compliant with Appendix J, but the Danish rules have some special "B classes" (competion cars) where you compeate by the power to weight ratio, and you are fairly free in the modification you are allowed to make.
