Understood - I find the steering on the M no problem, the S is a little heavier but part of the attraction. If I was using it everyday and having to park I might think differently though! It not so much the engineering its how it effects the feel of an older car as there is that certain charm and feel that i would be worried about loosing will check it out though thanks

From what I've read of the electric systems for classics they do sound quite discreet and I believe you can switch them off.
Hi Andrew, I know these guys very well, top people. One of their employees actually has a 3000M with Rover V8 in it. I am visiting the company founder, who is a good friend of mine, next Tuesday, I'll ask about the Tuscan conversion. Some advantages of their work is that it is TUV approved (you don't want to take chances with your steering column), and when they do the design for a new model they will have the drawings and parts ready to do more in the future. Also they have an own controller which is adjustable for speed sensitivity and amount of power steering support.

Andrew,
Unless it's medically necessitated, may I suggest investing rather less money, and less initial time, and purchasing some cast iron dumbells, instead? The benefits will reach far beyond this one project.
The other cars mentioned are NOT true sports cars, so who cares what creature comforts are added. TVRs, on the other hand, could not benefit from being turned into luxury vehicles, it would be the wort of both worlds, convenience, at the cost of feel, and added weight, and retaining all of the original chassis harshness. Of course, you could soften the suspension, as well. Please re-think this flight of fancy. I could see it, if you were building a long-distance racer, and adding huge rubber, but with near standard tyres, there shouldn't be a point, especially on a street car.
Best,
B.

There is a bit more than the eye meets here...
For starters are front suspension and steering properly set up (bushes, uprights, ARB, castor/camber, steering rack ?) If yes, then there is another important question. Both a Vixen + Kent or M + Essex are known good drivers/handlers, but is that also true for, say, a Vixen 2500, Tuscan V6/8 ?
We might be biased, firstly in the marque as such (off course we are.....) and secondly by the power.
But is is a Zephyr Essex really the best option ? (sorry if i'm offending anyone !)
Personally I don't think PAS could add to making the Tuscan a better car (perhaps worse even....) but as stated many a time, you do whatever you think is best to your own car

Hi guys, I just spoke to EZ Powersteering in Holland, and asked about the Tuscan conversion. The contact person in the UK is the following agent:
http://www.ezpowersteering.nl/30/Contact.html
And the set was conceptually made on a 3000M that was at EZ in Holland at the time, and adapted for the Tuscan. So if you contact Mike he might be able to get you into contact with the Tuscan owner. Best of luck.
