Many days of hard work have come to an temporary end. @ 8pm today did i finish the last thing on the to-do list (fabricate db killers to the exhaust's) and had a few miles on the new tires to re-map the injection to the db killers (they do take some power away above 5000 rpm), home and on to the trailer.

Tomorrow will be the theoretical test, and tuesday a full track day, with the practical test at the end. And hopefully a lot of fun ahead.

Btw, video cam is mounted in the car, so I'll post some movie's in this tread later.

Having a small practise race, playing with some lotus's. Agility about the same even I was on street tires vs. they were on semi slics. But a lot of fun, and ofcause they can't match the power of the M :-)

And reminding of how not to drive on cold tires :-)

Fantastic you got to race her. Mine is not ready until November but can't wait to get behind the wheel and see where I come in a few hill climbs and rallies across Europe .... Well done!!!

Thanks Guys

A new version of the lotus battle, including the last lap
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nW9K1fyghDA

I have finished the "shake down" inspection of the car, front brakes totally busted and a driveshaft was loose beeing the reason for the fish tailing under power.
So everything ready for the std MOT, and afterward the rally MOT

Fantastic Mads
It just goes to show that you don't have to strip everything out and make it into a shell with an engine to go racing and have fun I love it
Not that I have anything against doing that but great to show us there is an alternative

Sure, it's an real MPV, approved for racing - weekend driving with the kids - Grand touring to Goodwood in sep - and could even be used as a daily drive if it wasn't due to the 520d beeing more econimical :-)

Andrew,
Probably the most prestigious series to race a 3000m at the moment is HSCC 70s road sports, they insist on the car remaining fairly complete. But they are tight on modifications (only few allowed)

If you want to go and play with your car against clock with few mods, sprinting and hill climbing is the way to go. My last outing in a hill limb car was in a Sagaris in 2005. Car took less than 1 hour to sort for competition. Timing strut and ignition on/off indication, simples.

You have me thinking The Vixen would be the right one to use I think I guess that was Alan,s original plan when he was building her I think so maybe when time allows and projects eating up all the spare time.

First rally sprint race finished, very wet in the first two sessions, which is not a favorite for the TVR. But the track dried to the last session, and even with a 5 sec penalty did I manage 5'th best time in the dry. 8'th overall during the day, and winner of the class (modified non FIA cars)

Tomorrow is the only real hillclimb on the program, wether looks to be dry and the road is quite wide, so all in favour of the high powered cars.

As I have said earlier "fantastic".
We do not see all the technic upgrades on the outside so that's even more beautiful.
