Considering an oil cooler. Mounting the cooler, anyone got any pics or how, where to mount it. I know in front of rad with no more than a 5 mm gap. Any ideas welcome. Mainly I'm after a bracket or mounting ideas.
Thanks all.

I run a 9 row in the racer which has been proving a little marginal.. Its mounted behind the radiator and I have just had to fabricate a small chin spoiler to get some air up into the area..Next test will tell whether it has been successful or not.
Unless you are tracking the car I would doubt you will need a cooler..You will certainly need an oil stat in a road car..When the S1 vixen was a road car it sat on a shaped aluminium plate in the front of the radiator position. If a small 9 row is mounted on a plate it should in the most part be screened from damage by the bonnet…An oil cooler and lines do make for more things to go wrong though??

N.

Just been in the garage and still have this..This shows the plate which on a 1600 vixen sits on the bonnet mounts at the front of the radiator..

Thanks for the pics. So no top support needed?
I know my car does not really need one, but I've had the bits for a wile but never got round to it. Would get the pipes done properly with crimped ends.
Cheers.

The racers is supported top and bottom…This is just what was fitted before I took the car to bits. What are you doing to your car to get oil temps above 100 degrees ??

Nothing but it's like why buy a car that does over 200mph and no where to drive it at that speed. I'm just daft.
