Lower steering UJ M series

Been wondering why I have more play in the 3000s steering rack and thought it was just needing tightening up but the lower UJ is worn and is creating some play I suspect Adrian will be able to supply a new one when he is back from holiday but just in case wondered if this is the correct one

I have a new one of these which I inherited with a box of bits with the car but it looks different to what I have so not sure if I should use or not.

Its an inferior pressed steel affair Andrew. Throw it away. You should only use good quality forged parts on steering assemblies.

Was thinking the same but good to have confirmation of that and others lurking always learn as well so cheers I am sure that Adrian will sort it when he Bounces back
